The members of the incoming freshmen class will be receiving new and improved computers for the 2014-2015 school year. The new HP tablets are very similar to the current tablets that every student has: they can still swivel, they have a touchscreen, etc. The new model will be improved in terms of look and hardware.
“The new tablets will have a single battery rather than having an extra battery,” said Russ Wallace, technology specialist. “This will hopefully make the tablet last all day.”
All tablets next school year will have Windows 8 software, even the current tablets. It is a high-tech, fast-moving software that will be beneficial to both teachers and students in the learning environment.
“I’m so excited to have my own tablet next year,” said Emma Schaefer, incoming freshman. “They will be so much more convenient to have and I think they look really cool.”
