Taylor Swift brings her new reputation to Louisville this summer for her “Reputation” tour. On Saturday, June 30th, at the Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium, Swift will deliver a performance that is likely to be a far cry from her past shows. “Reputation” is Swift’s first album in four years and contains songs unlike any that we’ve heard from her before. With songs like “I Did Something Bad” and “This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things,” Swift turns away from her typical romantic songs and instead sings about revenge and the bad reputation she has been given. “Reputation” is an album about confronting your enemies and finding strength within yourself during hard times.
With a theme of snakes and the new attitude Swift takes on during her tour, the audience can expect a show filled with drama. Instead of the typical bright, pop-filled performances people are used to seeing from Swift, this tour is much darker, and the singer takes on the persona of a warrior ready to attack. It is clear that with this tour Taylor Swift is saying goodbye to her old self and seems much happier and more alive than before.
