The 2016 presidential election is coming up very soon. Election Day is Tuesday, November 8. This election features 4 very different candidates, Jill Stein, Gary Johnson, Hillary Clinton, and Donald Trump. Who will you choose?
Jill Stein represents the “Green Party of the United States” with her running mate Ajamu Baraka. Stein graduated from Harvard Medical School. Stein is a physician, activist, and politician. Stein is passionate about the environment and wants to preserve it for as long as she can. She is also wants to end poverty and create living-wage job opportunities for every American who is able to work. Stein believes Health Care and Education are rights for all people, and she wants to make them affordable for all. Stein is also passionate about equality and justice for all. Gary Johnson represents the “Libertarian Party” with his running mate William Weld. Gary Johnson graduated from the University of New Mexico. Johnson is an American businessman, author, politician. Johnson wants to cut wasteful spending, lower unemployment, and guarantee internet freedom. He wants to enhance the immigration system by creating a better work Visa system. Johnson is Pro-Choice. Johnson is passionate about protecting religious freedoms, our civil liberties, and our environment. Johnson also wants to limit terms and also believes the federal government should not stand in the way of individual states legalizing marijuana. Hillary Clinton represents the “Democratic Party” with her running mate Tim Kaine. Clinton graduated from Wellesley College and Yale Law School. She is a practicing lawyer and law professor. Clinton served as secretary of state, U.S. senator from New York, first lady of Arkansas, and first lady of the United States. Clinton also claims to be an activist. Clinton wants to ensure a fair tax system and have a fair playing field for small businesses. Clinton wants to end gun violence, college debt, and discrimination. Donald Trump represents the “Republican Party” with his running mate Mike Pence. Trump attended Fordham University and graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Trump is an American businessman, TV producer, and politician. He wants to abolish Obamacare, limit abortions, and increase tax sanctions on Iran.
