Sophomore ACTS: A Christian Through Service

By Mya Todd, Staff Member

This January, the sophomores have embarked on their adventures to their ACTS agencies. The ACTS program, which is led by Mrs. Moore, allows sophomores to connect with different agencies around Louisville and make a difference. The sophomores wear the famous black ACTS pants and set out for their agencies every Wednesday. When asked about ACTS, sophomore, Chloe Frelinger, said, “It’s nice to miss school, but also can b e stressful because I miss Freshmen classes that I’m in.” Many students are pushed out of their comfort zone during ACTS.  Sophomore, Alyssa Neubacher, said; “It’s interesting to go back to grade school to see what they’re learning.” They obtain real world experiences through this program that Assumption provides. If a large group of girls with black pants and bagged lunches pass by, don’t worry; it is just the Assumption Sophomores off to make an impact on the world.
