Sunday Night Football Recipes

Sunday Night Football is in full swing with the 2020-2021 NFL season having started up on September 10. Whether you’re a big football fan or not, these three dip recipes are essential ones everyone should know, and none of them take more than half an hour to prepare and make. They are simple yet delicious and are perfect to eat with your family or with a couple of friends while you are watching football on Sunday night.

 

Creamy Buffalo Chicken Dip

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup of ranch dressing
  • ½ cup of Frank’s® RedHot® Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce
  • 8 ounces of cream cheese (softened)
  • 2 cups of shredded cooked chicken
  • Chips, pretzels, crackers, or veggies for serving

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and spoon them into a 1-quart baking dish.
  3. Bake for 20 minutes or until the mixture is heated through and stir when you take it out. You can choose to put it in a crockpot if you want to keep it warm while serving.
  4. Serve with chips, pretzels, crackers, or veggies!

Guacamole Dip

Prep time: 15 minutes

Cook time: None!

  1. 4 ripe avocados
  2. 3-4 tablespoons of lime juice
  3. ¾ teaspoon of kosher salt
  4. ½ teaspoon of onion powder
  5. ½ teaspoon of garlic powder
  6. ½ teaspoon of ground cumin
  7. ¼ teaspoon of cayenne pepper

Directions:

  1. Cut avocados in half, take out pit, scoop into a large bowl
  2. Mash avocados with an avocado masher or large serving fork. Continue to do this until they are your desired consistency.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients into the bowl.
  4. Stir together with a spatula
  5. Taste and add more salt or juice as desired.
  6. Serve with chips, pretzels, crackers, or veggies!

Savory Seven Layer Dip:

Prep time: 25 minutes

Cook Time: None!

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (16 oz.) of re-fried beans
  • 2 ½ cup of guacamole – store bought or homemade (refer to guacamole recipe above!)
  • 1 jar (16 oz.) of chunky tomato salsa
  • 2 ½ cups of sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons of taco seasoning
  • Juice of half a lime
  • 1 cup of shredded Monterey jack cheese
  • ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups of shredded lettuce
  • ½ cup of quartered grape tomatoes
  • ½ cup of sliced black olives
  • Chips, pretzels, crackers, or veggies for serving

Directions:

  1. Spread re-fried beans in an even layer at the bottom of serving dish. Next spread the guacamole. Then spread the layer of salsa.
  2. In a separate bowl, stir the sour cream, taco seasoning, and lime juice together. Spread that on top of the salsa.
  3. Sprinkle Monterey Jack and cheddar cheese in an even layer on top of sour cream.
  4. Top with the lettuce, tomatoes, and black olives.
  5. Serve with chips, pretzels, crackers, or veggies!
