Top 10 Christmas Cookies

Baking is one of the best Christmas traditions around. With that being said, many families have baking days where they make cookies with their families. Although this year may look a little different in our world, baking should still look the same. Here are the top 10 cookie flavors that you and your families should make this Christmas!

  1. Hershey kiss cookies
  • This is one of Santa’s favorites
  • Ingredients: ½ cup of granulated sugar, ½ cup of brown sugar, ½ cup of creamy peanut butter, ½ cup of softened butter, 1 egg, 1 ½ cups of all-purpose flour, ¾ teaspoon of baking soda, ½ teaspoon of baking powder, and finally some Hershey’s Kisses.

  • A great touch to these cookies, is dipping them in white chocolate and adding some Christmas sprinkles on top

  • Ingredients: 1 ½ cups of all-purpose flour, 1 ½ teaspoons of baking powder, ¼ teaspoon of salt, ½ cup of softened unsalted butter, ¾ cup of granulated sugar, 1 large egg, 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract, and ½ cup of sprinkles.

  1. Peppermint meltaway cookies
  • Cookie ingredients: 1 cup of softened butter, ½ cup of sugar, ½ teaspoon peppermint extract, 1 and ¼ cups of all-purpose flour, ½ cup cornstarch
  • Frosting ingredients: 2 tablespoons softened butter, 2 tablespoons of 2% milk, ¼ teaspoon peppermint extract, red food coloring, 1 ½ cups of sugar, ½ cup of peppermint candy
  1. Gingerbread men
  • Ingredients: 2/3 cup of softened unsalted butter, ¾ cup packed light brown sugar, 2/3 cup molasses, 1 large egg, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 3 ½ cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, ½ teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon ground ginger, 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon, ½ teaspoon ground allspice, and ½ teaspoon of ground cloves
  1. Turtle thumbprint cookies
  • Cookie ingredients: 1 cup flour, 1/3 cup cocoa powder, ¼ teaspoon salt, ½ cup softened butter, 2/3 cup sugar, 2 eggs, 1 tablespoon of milk, 1 teaspoon of vanilla, 1 cup of chopped pecans
  • Caramel filling ingredients: 14 Kraft caramels, 3 tablespoons heavy cream
  1. Oatmeal raisin cookies
  • Ingredients: 1 cup unsalted softened butter, 1 cup light brown sugar, ¼ cup sugar, 2 large eggs, 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract, 1 tablespoon molasses, 1 and ½ cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 and ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon, ½ teaspoon salt, 3 cups of whole rolled oats, 1 cup of raisins, ½ cup chopped toasted walnuts

  • Ingredients: 1 stick of butter, 30 large marshmallows, green food coloring, ½ teaspoon vanilla extract, 5 cups of cornflakes, red M&M’s, cooking spray

  • Ingredients: 2 and ½ cups flour, ½ teaspoon baking soda, 1 cup of unsalted butter, ½ teaspoon salt, 1 cup brown sugar, ½ cup sugar, 2 eggs, 2 teaspoons of vanilla, 1 cup of minis M&M’s, and 1 cup of regular M&M’s
