After President Biden was sworn in, he gave his inaugural address, calling for unity, not only in the United States but throughout the world. Performances from Jennifer Lopez and Garth Brooks followed, with Lopez singing a mix of “This Land is Your Land” and her hit “Let’s Get Loud” and Brooks singing “Amazing Grace”.

After this, Biden and Harris proceeded to travel to the Arlington National Cemetery to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Former presidents Clinton, W. Bush, and Obama were also in attendance with their wives. After this solemn process, Biden and Harris participated in a parade through DC.
