The 2024-25 Rocket Basketball team has six new additions to their team this season. Consisting of one senior and five juniors, the new transfer students have been enjoying their time so far at Assumption. When asked why she came to Assumption, junior Ava Moore says “I came to play basketball but that’s not the only reason. When I shadowed and came to games, the environment was so good and I just loved everything about the school.”
Many members of the team commented on the strong connection of the team and that they think that will take them far this basketball season. Junior Jaida Allen says “This is the first team I’ve been on where everyone wants what’s best for one another and is fully supportive. I would definitely say we’ve grown into a family and I love all of my teammates as sisters.”
We met with each new transfer and learned some fun facts about them so the AHS community can get to know them better. Here’s what they had to say:
