Rixton’s ‘Let the Road’ is a mixture of four voices that are completely in harmony. Each member’s voice compliments the other making their songs flow peacefully, giving off a relaxing feel. Throughout the album, there is combination of a different type of music as well as an old-style sound that gives the band a good variety in style. The album starts off with a cappella song that shows off the bands harmonies. One of the members, Jake, says that they did this to “make a statement and sort of mimic the sounds of Boyz II Men or Beach Boys”.
Rixton’s single, “Me and My Broken Heart” hit #6 on U.S. charts in 2014. This band has proved to the audience that they are able to create catchy hits and bring impressive harmonies to their songs.
