On November 11th, 2022 Marvel Studios released its newest film in Phase 4, Black Panther Wakanda Forever. The movie is the sequel to Marvel’s 2018 film titled Black Panther. With the death of star Chadwick Boseman, some students questioned how producers would handle the franchise moving forward. Junior Davan Alvey said, “I want to see how they handled his death and hopefully they were respectful.”

Wakanda Forever references various cultures throughout the movie. Staff member Erica Lasley said , ” I really liked the cultural references.” As a former language teacher Lasley found the references to Mayan culture cool.

With the new release, we want to hear if this lived up to your expectations of a Marvel movie.
