2014 was an exciting year in music, with album releases from Taylor Swift, Sam Smith, Hozier, and Coldplay, and 2015 is looking to be a notable year in music as well. Here are a few albums to look for in the future of 2015:

Death Cab for Cutie: Kintsugi

Their eighth studio album, Kintsugi, will follow their 2011 album Codes and Keys. It’s set to release March 31, and will feature 11 tracks including Black Sun. This will be the last album with their guitarist and producer Chris Walla, who decided to leave the band after 17 years and eight albums.

Coldplay: A Head Full of Dreams

No release date has been set for Coldplay’s seventh album A Head Full of Dreams, but Chris Martin and the band have been in the studio working on what he says might be their last album. Ghost Stories came out last summer and this album is a follow up to that album.

Lana Del Ray: Honeymoon

Lana Del Ray is working on her fourth studio album Honeymoon, and already has nine songs written. This album should come out in the second half of 2015, and Del Ray says it will have the same feel as Born to Die, her album from 2012, rather than her latest release, Ultraviolence.

Passion Pit: unknown title

Passion Pit’s lead singer Michael Angelakos said their third studio album should release in 2015, following their 2012 album Gossamer. With electronic and synthetic pop sounds, Passion Pit remains active and relevant in the alternative as well as the electronic pop genres.
