On Sunday April 26 juniors and seniors ran around the halls admiring rings and taking pictures before the much anticipated Junior Ring Ceremony.
Before the ceremony began Junior Erica Lunsford said she was definitely ready to be a senior. Bryony Corcoran, the senior giving Erica her ring, had a piece of advice on senior year for her eager ring receiver, “Don’t wish it to go by so fast. It really does go by fast. You think it’s not, but then it happens, you’re giving a ring away to someone else.”
Molly O’Dea and Claire Hook brought attention to the stage with their opening comments. The teacher chosen by the juniors to speak was Rene Hardy. She made the girls laugh and overall made the ceremony very memorable. To conclude the ceremony, Bailey Higgins called the juniors by family. Each senior gave their junior a ring.
Once the tradition of the ceremony concluded the girls flooded outside with yet more pictures to be taken after the ceremony. The juniors showed off their rings and proudly posed for pictures with their friends and family.
Before the ceremony began the seniors talked to their junior partners. Above, senior Kaci Carruthers admires junior Kay Nilest’s ring.
After the juniors and seniors are seated in the gym, Molly O’Dea, Junior Class President, speaks first at the ceremony. She reflects over the junior classes exciting year and talks about big year ahead of them.
