Seniors Walk the Walk

By: Carly Hanks and Claire Frisbie

It was an emotional Thursday, May 7, as the class of 2015 took their last steps out of the doors of Assumption High School as students. The tradition was changed a bit from previous years as the students decided to end it the way they started, with their homeroom. The girls returned to homeroom after their last block and exited together. The entire school was able to cheer and salute the class off as they lined the hallways during their last march through the high school halls.

The girls were rushed with emotions of excitement for the future and sadness on saying goodbye to what had been their home for the past four years. “I am in shock,” says Bailey Hanks, and Mallory McCarty was at a complete loss for words. “It wasn’t like high school musical”, said Bailey, “but it was something special.”

The class of 2015 will forever be in our hearts and always a rose no matter where their journey from here takes them. “These girls are very unique and have many gifts and talents. I will miss their hugs. I love them and they will forever be in my heart,” says Ms. Druin, their counselor since freshman year.
