The New Senior Courtyard

The+New+Senior+Courtyard

This year, the seniors were honored with a newly completed senior courtyard. This was one of the new additions to Assumptions new building. It is located in between the CAC and the new cafeteria. Seniors are able to use the courtyard during their lunch. There are 8 brand new picnic tables for seniors to sit and eat their lunch, as well as a bench. After many months of the seniors waiting for the courtyard to be completed and waiting on the weather to warm up, the senior courtyard is finally being used. This new space is only allowed to be used by seniors as one of their senior privileges. In the past, Assumption would have to limit how many seniors got to sit in the courtyard and eat but now with the new space we have, any senior in each lunch is able to sit outside. Assumption even built a very nice gate right outside of the courtyard for safety and to ensure no one was able to walk up while we are eating. Ever since COVID 19 started Assumption aloud students to sit outside on the ground or on the wood picnic tables. As of right now, the rest of the students are still aloud to sit outside and eat their lunch when its nice outside. There are wood picnic tables lined up down the other side of the cafeteria for the rest of the students to sit at. Now that the courtyard is finished, that area is just used by the underclassman and the seniors have their own space to sit at. The senior class couldn’t be happier about this new addition to Assumption.
